Celal Göle

Prof. Göle was born in the United States of America in 1948, completed his secondary education at TED Ankara College and graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1969.

He started his academic career as a Commercial Law assistant in Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1970, and completed his PhD at the Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1975. Prof. Göle conducted research on his associate professorship thesis at the Indiana University Law School in the United States of America, for two years between 1976 and 1978. He received the title of “Associate Professor” in 1982 and was promoted to “Professor” on 11 April 1989. He took office as the Deputy Dean between 1989 and 1993, and served as Dean for 18 years and 5 months between 1993 and 2012 at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University .

Prof. Göle who has been involved in many national and international disputes as a co-arbitrator as well as the chairman has served as a member of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University Board of Trustees between 2005 and 2010. He acted as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Press and Advertisements Institution between 2007 and 2009. He also worked as a member of the Board of Directors of the same Institution between 2009 and 2013. Prof. Göle retired from Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences on February 1st, 2015. Currently, he is carrying out his academic work as a Commercial Law lecturer at Atılım University Faculty of Law, Ankara. In addition, he teaches Commercial Law courses at the Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Law.
