On 15 February 2017, the Anadolu Agency published a note on the Istanbul Arbitration Centre. In this note, Prof. Dr. Ziya Akıncı, president of the ISTAC, mentioned that the ISTAC has dealt with seven cases since it began working early last year and is now close to closing the seventh. It was also highligthed that during its first year, the center sparked “great interest” and is now being routinely added to private sector and public sector contracts.
