Cemile Demir Gökyayla

Prof. Gökyayla has been involved in a number of domestic and international disputes as arbitrator, counsel, co-counsel, and has acted under institutional arbitration rules including, but not limited to UNCITRAL, ICC, ICSID, DIAC and ITOTAM.

Prof.  Gökyayla worked on projects and disputes for highways, light railways, buildings, underground sewerage system; infrastructure civil projects; water distribution projects; various residential projects; power plants; natural gas storage; SCADA systems; automation system in Turkey and also in many countries worldwide involving Europe, Middle East and CIS Countries financed by the European Union, the European Investment Bank, the Asian Development Bank, JBIC, and the Word Bank.

Prof. Gökyayla’s main areas are international arbitration, international distribution agreements and construction law.

She is the President of the International Private Law Department of the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Bilgi University, where she teaches international arbitration, foreign investment law, international private law and international commercial law. Prof. Gökyayla has written books on document production in international arbitration, exclusive distribution agreements, foreign judgments, international family law and several articles related to international private law.
