Cooperation Agreement between the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA)

We are pleased to announce the renewal of the Cooperation Agreement between the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).

Under the Cooperation Agreement, ISTAC and the PCA will continue to cooperate on knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the facilitation of arbitration proceedings. As part of this cooperation, parties may conduct hearings under PCA or ISTAC rules at either institution’s headquarters in The Hague or Istanbul.

To mark this important milestone, ISTAC and the PCA jointly held a roundtable discussion titled “Wings of Change in International Arbitration” on 18 June 2025 in Istanbul.

This event brought together arbitration practitioners for an in-depth discussion on emerging trends, practical challenges, and the evolving roles of the PCA and ISTAC in the international arbitration landscape.

We are grateful to all participants for their valuable contributions and look forward to further collaboration with the PCA in our shared mission.
